Web-enabled Automatic Watergun: My original idea was to make an Automatic Watergun. I want to set up a high quality camera pointing to the watergun and the small tree I want to protect. It feeds the images to a computer doing motion detection/image analysis. The computer determines if an action is needed and sends commands to the control unit mounted on the watergun. A small lower quality wireless camera is also mounted on the watergun to take close up pictures of the object. I will feed live video from the wireless camera to my website. But moving watergun and shooting are all fully controlled by a computer. Then I thought it would be really cool to see my own actions. I will still see the live video from the wireless camera mounted on the watergun. The difference is I will move the wireless camera around from my website. I will be able to aim and shoot by clicking my mouse like a first person shooter. And yes, the deer can still eat my tree if I am not monitoring the camera.
